A town made mainly of red sandstone; Mughal Emperor Akbar founded Fatehpur Sikri in the 1571 century. It is a fortified town founded by the king and had been the capital of his empire for 15 years. The most beautiful monument in Fatehpur Sikri is the Royal Palace of Queen Jodha Bai. She was the Rajput queen of Emperor Akbar.
